Gluten-Free, Vegan, Serves 2
For the ginger-infused vodka:
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup vodka
For the martini:
- 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Ice cubes
- Fresh pear slices, for garnish
- Fresh ginger slices, for garnish
In a small jar or container, combine the sliced fresh ginger and vodka. Seal the jar and let it sit for at least 1 hour or longer to infuse the ginger flavor into the vodka. The longer it infuses, the stronger the ginger flavor will be. In a blender or food processor, blend the diced pears, fresh lemon juice, and maple syrup until smooth. Strain the pear mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any solids and ensure a smooth liquid.
Combine in a shaker 2 ounces (1/4 cup) of the ginger-infused vodka, 3 ounces (1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons) of the strained pear mixture. Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake well to chill and combine the ingredients. Strain the martini mixture into two martini glasses. Garnish each martini with a slice of fresh pear and a slice of fresh ginger. Serve the Ginger Pear Martinis immediately and enjoy this refreshing and flavorful cocktail!
