- 1/2 cup shea butter
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons jojoba oil
- 10 drops Lavender essential oil
- Optional: Vitamin E oil
Directions:
In a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, melt the shea butter and coconut oil until fully liquid. Remove from heat and stir in the jojoba oil. Jojoba oil is known for its moisturizing and skin-hydrating properties. Allow the mixture to cool slightly but not solidify completely. Add 10 drops of Lavender essential oil to the mixture. Lavender oil’s regenerative properties can help improve skin texture and promote elasticity. If using, add a few drops of vitamin E oil for its skin-nourishing benefits and as a natural preservative.
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the mixture on low to medium speed for a few minutes until it becomes creamy and fluffy. Transfer the whipped lotion to a clean, airtight container. Glass containers are recommended to maintain the quality of the lotion. Use a small amount of the Lavender Repairing Creamy Lotion on your body or areas where you want to improve skin texture and elasticity. Massage it into your skin in gentle circular motions.
