Get ready to find out why you should be stocking up on this healing oil! Lavender is a great essential oil to add to your daily routine for the following reasons:

Antidepressant

Lavender is a universal oil that has traditionally been known to balance the body and work wherever needed. Lavender has sedative properties, which make it ideal for reducing stress. It is also a natural anticonvulsant, antihistamine, and antispasmodic. There is a reason that lavender is found in the majority of anti-aging products. Lavender has been shown to help speed up the healing process while also repairing cells. It is also an anti-fungal, antimicrobial, antiseptic, and antitoxic. All these qualities make lavender a must for skin care and overall health. The best part is that you can work it into your daily routine in a number of ways, such as topically, foods, drinks, and even using aromatic protocols.

Lavender Restorative Anti-Aging Clay Face Mask

  • 2 tablespoons bentonite clay or kaolin clay
  • 1 teaspoon organic honey
  • 2-3 drops Lavender essential oil
  • rose water for mixing

Directions:

Combine the bentonite, kaolin clay, and organic honey in a small bowl. Mix well to create a smooth paste. Add 2-3 drops of Lavender essential oil to the clay and honey mixture. Lavender oil’s regenerative properties can help improve skin texture and promote elasticity. Stir the ingredients until the essential oil is evenly distributed throughout the mask mixture.

Add water or floral water a little at a time to achieve your desired mask consistency. You want a spreadable but not too runny texture. Cleanse your face thoroughly before applying the mask. Using clean fingers or a mask brush, apply an even layer of the mask to your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to inhale the soothing scent of Lavender.

Leave the mask on for about 10-15 minutes. Gently rinse off the mask with lukewarm water, using circular motions to exfoliate your skin as you rinse. After rinsing, apply your favorite moisturizer to lock in hydration and maximize the benefits of the mask.
